By a simple act of sincere sorrow-for-sin, it's as if we pierce the heart of God, like a blade, to effect an immediate outpouring of the 'sweet wine' which is God's forgiveness and peace.

Our Lady of Sorrows: Our Blessed Lady showed reverence for God, in love, obedience and submission, not only when approached as a teenager by an Angel, but throughout her life, and beneath the Cross. These people spread their views, contradicting the Lord, even as sorrowing individuals try to set themselves free from their sins. And for their disobedience to God, and their leading others astray, those confident people will suffer. "They too will be judged".

Jesus is willing to say, today, to each person who goes to Him, repenting of sin, what He once said to the adulterous, sorrowful woman: "Neither do I condemn you. Go away and don't sin anymore". This is true, even for people guilty of those sins which are particularly repulsive to virtuous people.
