It is important to be attentive at Mass, aware that Jesus Christ our God loves us so much that He has suffered and died for us, allowing His own creatures to mock and torment Him, and never seeking revenge against us, but loving us until His last breath.

Christ is deeply touched whenever we take care to show reverence by our gestures and thoughts; honouring Him by the Sign of the Cross; by kneeling, if we can; by being alert in prayer, by kissing sacred objects.
