The Whole Church is Gathered: At the 'Holy, Holy, Holy Lord', I saw some of the thousands of saints of Heaven, who praise God without us, as they stand in wonder before His infinite majesty.

Christ's Work of the Cross is the central point of all history: the point to which all things were leading from Creation; and the point around which each of us must gather in each new era - in the Mass - in order to speak as children to the Father, relying on Christ's offering and intercession, as we wait for the End of Time.

I saw a child who unwrapped a precious object. I must 'unwrap' the Mass for other people, to reveal the 'heart' of it. It is a living memorial of Calvary's offering: the very same sacrifice, now sacramentally re-presented.

Someone who adores Christ in the Mass and longs to do His work can remain in spirit beside the Cross all day, with Calvary's offering in mind - making at each moment, with Christ, expressions of love to the Father, thanks for everything good, reparation for sins (patiently accepting trials), prayers for help and salvation for individuals, and prayer for the Church.

Whoever adores Christ at Mass, and wants to remain with Him in spirit all day, can offer praise and thanks through Him to the Father all day, at work, as well as reparation for sin, and prayers for the needy

If we are one with Christ in the Mass in the living memorial of the Sacrifice of the Cross, we are one with Christ in His Eternal self-offering in the inner life of the Blessed Trinity. That is why the Holy Eucharist is a pledge of future glory as well as a sacrifice for sin. To belong to Christ and to receive Him in Holy Communion is a foretaste of the union and communion that we can enjoy for all Eternity if we remains faithful.

At Mass, it's as if a blazing fire of Divine love penetrates the church - love from the Father Who 'gives' His Son to us at every Mass. If we could see the flames, how reverent we would be, in the Presence of the All-Holy!

Souls are powerfully helped by the prayers we offer with and through Christ at Mass. It's as if needy souls are 'carried' by the prayer of the Church, away from danger and distress.

Whenever the Holy Sacrifice is offered from our altar, Christ Who is Present in sacramental form is praising the Father in the fiery love of the Holy Spirit. Christ is here, praying to the Father on our behalf.

Christ, in His earthly life, offered the Sacrifice to end all sacrifices, though He deserved nothing but love, honour and glory. He allowed sinners to humiliate and kill Him, in order to show the depth of Divine Love. We, at Mass, can offer that once-for-all Sacrifice in reparation for our own sins.
