The Risen Christ is Really Preset with us, after the Consecration, praying to the Father for sinners to be forgiven, just as He prayed from the Cross on Calvary. And His Mother is very close to Him.

If the Queen were to walk down the centre aisle in our church, would the chatter cease? Would people bow or stand or curtsey, and keep silent, in case she wished to speak? Can we not do the same, now, for the King of Kings, Who is Present in the tabernacle?

Mary, the First Tabernacle: The Lord explained that since His Mother Mary was the first 'tabernacle', as she carried Christ within herself, it would be good for someone to sculpt a figure of Mary, with tabernacle doors placed where her heart would be: the heart which welcomed Him from the first moment.

We are right to honour Mary, the Blessed Virgin, through whom the Father gave us His Son, and all the graces we receive in the Church, especially in the Holy Eucharist. We would be right to surmount a 'Mary-style' tabernacle with an image of Christ in glory.

Through Him, With Him: Christ, Present amongst us, tears apart the curtain that separates us from Heaven. By His paschal work - re-presented in the Mass - He penetrates the veil, and brings us and our united prayer into the presence of God the Father, and the Saints who live in Him.

Christ was Present in glory, at the Consecration, radiant with Divine majesty, revealing Himself as True God, made man, Who in His humility was willing to accept persecution and death.

Where is Everyone? Christ 'wonders', so to speak (though He knows everything) - Where are all those followers of His who profess to love Him? Yet many can't be bothered to meet Him at Mass, whilst others have not yet been told that He is Really, substantially Present here in the Blessed Sacrament.

When Christ is made Present before us at the Consecration, the holy Angels stand awe-struck at the love He shows towards us by coming amongst us in this astounding way. They are absorbed in adoration of the God-man, Jesus, substantially Present in the Holy Eucharist.

To receive Christ in Holy Communion but then to ignore His Presence is to be like a man who welcomes a visitor to his house, but then leaves the visitor in the hallway whilst he, the house-holder, goes off to amuse himself in the living-room.

Many Catholics have no idea of what is really happening at Mass. It is tragic that so many children say that they are bored at Mass. Not having been instructed about the Holy Sacrifice of Christ, they are ignorant of the fact that Christ is truly Present amongst us, praising the Father of Light in the presence of the whole Church. We pray with the Saints and the Holy Souls, and with the Holy Angels.

In Holy Communion, Christ did not weary me with conversation, but invited me to lean on Him, just as He had once shown me before, and to enjoy His Presence in perfect peace and contentment.

Through the Church we have everything we need to live as children of God in a sinful world. We even have praise to offer to God our Father which is worthy of Him: praise which is offered by Jesus Christ, Sacramentally Present in our midst, at Mass.

The Catholic Church teaches the glorious truth that, in the past, God reached out to human beings in various ways; in the future, He will reward all who have remained faithful; and in the present moment He remains with His Church, guides us through the Pope and other Catholic Bishops, and is Present with us through Jesus's sacramental Presence.

Christ our God is Sacramentally Present in all His glory in the tabernacle. We do not usually see His glory; but everyone who believes must surely genuflect before the Lord, and show reverence and devotion, not treating the 'house of God' like a market-place.

Christ asked me a rhetorical question, saying 'Where are the others?' He meant: If Catholics had been well-taught about the Holy Sacrifice, and about Christ's Real Presence, many more would be present even at a week-day Mass.

Christ our God is Present in the sanctuary, with the Saints who now live in His love. He longs to welcome His friends, and to pour His graces upon us - and also reaches out to those who have not yet surrendered to His loving Will.

Christ is Really Present with us in the Blessed Sacrament. We are just as close to Him, in Holy Communion, as were His friends, when they sat beside Him in Galilee.
