Christ's glory is like a fire which lights up our sanctuary: with real faith, who could be distracted from such a sight?

Here, during Mass, Christ is Really Present with us, on Earth, praying to the Father, with us gathered around Him.

Christ is truly Present, but it is as if a veil hides Him from our gaze.

Jesus is God-with-us, at the consecration, veiling His glory, yet all the glory hidden from us here is here offered to the Father.

The 'circle' of prayer into which we are drawn is like this: the invisible Father sends His Spirit to urge us to pray. Through the Holy Spirit, we praise Christ, Present here, and, with Him, offer His praise to the Father!

Through Christ's Presence in the Blessed Sacrament, God pours into our sanctuary a brilliant torrent of grace.

Holy Angels, on high, surround our altar, gazing toward it, ready to adore Our Lord when He is made Present before us.

At 'Corpus Christi' feast (the Sacred Body and Blood of Christ) brilliant rays of light streamed from the elevated Host.

We can meet Christ in the Blessed Sacrament on the altar; in His Person and His Presence, we can touch every stage of Christ's life.

Whenever Mass is clebrated in our country, it's as if Calvary appears at the heart of England. Those of us who did not live with Christ in his lifetime or stand beside his Cross in history can nevertheless unite ourselves with Him and with His once-for-all Sacrifice, as it is re-presented at every Mass, where Christ is truly Present, praying on our behalf.

Angels surround Christ as He appears, hidden in the Host, amongst us; each act of faith we offer draws us closer to Heaven.

When Christ is Really Present before us, in the Holy Sacrifice, we are present to His entire life, which is "in" Him now.

At every Mass, Christ is made Really Present with us. It's as if our Risen Saviour stands before us, at the altar, His head bowed in reverence for God the Father, to Whom He lifts His arms as He prays for us. Christ offers to Heaven all the prayers that we pray 'through Him, with Him, and in Him'. In the power of the Holy Spirit, this one great sacrificial prayer is both powerful and effective.
