I was given a glimpse of the height and depth of the glory of God. Heaven and Earth are one, in joyful worship, through Christ.
Christ is our bridge to heaven - the only Way across the gulf between earthly life and eternal glory

Prayer is like a glimpse of eternity, seen from the battlements of our earthly dwelling, as we pause and turn to God. The Saints are very close to us, in their glory.

I saw the glory of the gathering of those who worship God in Heaven, whilst we worship on Earth.
Everyone on earth can choose to call out for God's help, hoping to be heard. Yet those who have been baptised into Christ, made adopted children of God, living in His light, can speak with God as with a friend, and have a sure hope of Heaven, if faithful to the end. Christ's Spirit, living in souls, gives knowledge of God, intimacy, and hope, and is a lamp for the Way.
I remember being young and experiencing a sudden 'teaching', which told me that we are strangers on this earth.

Jesus Christ is God-made-man; yet He came to earth not in power, but as a helpless baby.

God made the Earth and all that is on it.
It is by living in charity in the present moment that the soul is most perfectly united to God, in its earthly life.
Though we might believe that we are serving God faithfully, we might rarely see any results from our acts of charity or self-giving - as if we were flying over a cloudy landscape with only an occasional glimpse of the fields below. Christ assures us, however, that all who remain faithful will one day see the great crowd of people whom they have helped by their penances, good works and intercessions.
Wherever a soul delivers up its life for God's work and glory, the Kingdom of God touches this Earth, and God truly reigns.
