The sorrowful Virgin Mary holds her Son Jesus after his death, pierced to the heart with sorrow, but full of faith. We too can believe and trust, with God's help, even when we do not fully understand.

The more we resemble Christ by patient acceptance of unavoidable suffering, the closer to Him we are, as we hold His wounded hands, and pray with and through Him to our Father in Heaven, to help others.

One who is shaped and tested by suffering can plead with Christ before the Father, to help other souls.

If we look towards Christ with our hearts and minds uncluttered, we can forget ourselves in the joy of knowing Him. We can lean on His Heart and wait for deliverance, full of His joy and peace.

Even in our sickness Christ loves us and calls us to trust him and offer up our sufferings in union with Him

One Palm Sunday I saw within my soul Our Lord's terrible cry from the cross. We who are weak can be certain that He has shared our weakness, though not our sinfulness.

Even in the darkness of our sufferings Jesus comforts and guides us

Christ was mocked on the Cross and was cruelly exposed, for our sins. Each humiliation we accept, from love, soothes His heart in His Passion!
