No matter what the reason given by anxious women, no unborn baby deserves to be poisoned or dismembered in the womb, to resolve a problem or an inconvenience in the mother's life. Each mother, as she carries a child, has a duty to protect her tiny infant, no matter how small.
It is too easy, in making decisions about everyday life, to weigh up the personal benefits and to forget the spiritual realities. Pregnant women deserve to be reminded that it is never God, or good angels, at work, urging women to destroy their own babies in the womb. Mothers must ignore selfish desires, or evil influences.
Christ the King of Heaven looks down with horror upon the earth He made, as He sees processions of sad and guilty women, or defiantly guilty women, making their way to abortion clinics all over the world, to destroy the babies whom these women conceived, and to whom Christ gave life, as a free gift.
It is important to help women to picture the future, if they plan to abort their babies. These poor women will not only feel guilty about killing their own children, they will find themselves looking, through tears that blur their vision, at other children whom theirs will never play with in the park, and at the bright balloons their children will never see, as they play beneath the trees.
On the heights of Sinai, God gave the truth to Moses, in the Ten Commandments. These showed out the truth about the purpose of life, and about the relations between men and women. These truths can never change. No wise theologian contradicts them to say that God's will need not reign supreme, or that men and women can make their union sterile not fruitful.
Low-cut necklines are so common-place that Christian women are sometimes slow to realise the importance of modesty. This requires a careful and sensible attitude to clothing, so that no immodest garments make life more difficult for men to be chaste. All immodest clothing should be altered or thrown away - and certainly not given away, for other people to wear it.
Wherever Catholics live out their faith with goodness and conviction, they have an effect upon their culture, as Catholics have since the earliest times. The Bishops hand on the truth from Jesus Christ, people are forgiven and transformed, freed from superstition, men and women are equal in marriage, the sick are cherished and not rejected, prisoners receive justice, little girls are educated, children are valued, even the unborn, the arts flourish - art, architecture, music and scholarship - and the Saints set an unparalleled example of goodness, in all sorts of ways.
Christ looks down from Heaven upon women who have had abortions. He longs for each one to repent of having allowed the precious little body of her baby to be thrown away like garbage. He knows that through repentance each one can receive forgiveness and peace from Him, and lead a fulfilling life in His love, and service, and in new hope.
In Christ's sight, teachers of the faith ought to embody it. It is not enough for teachers to believe in the articles of the Faith, if they do not show out the virtues, including chastity, for example. Women, especially, should pay attention to their clothing and avoid immodest garments or styles which tempt other people to have unchaste thoughts.
If a farmer were to have a field of ripe, surplus wheat he would harvest it, and give it away. He would be seen as mad, if he poisoned the wheat or burned it. But when women have unwanted pregnancies, many wantonly poison or otherwise kill the unborn children, when they could bear the children, and then give them to couples who long to look after them, by adoption.
Many girls and women have been so heavily influenced as to be almost blameless. They have heard evil propositions for decades, from campaigners who speak of a "woman's right to choose", about abortion. Yet no-one has the right to dismember or poison another human being, no matter how tiny. It is an outrage that abortion is permitted.
Many women cry out about their human rights, and even their 'right to choose', that is, to choose to destroy a little human being in the womb. No-one has such a right, whereas every little baby, however small, most certainly has the right not to be killed: a right which politicians should be defending.
God the Father looks from Heaven upon our lives. He sees that men who injure women, or women who abort their babies, are, in effect, crucifying Christ, because whoever engages in evils such as sadism or killing, is placing himself or herself on the side of Satan, who does not want us to act with love and compassion, and tried to overcome Christ.
If women do not cover their hair in church, they should at least control it. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass should be respected as a sacred rite, carefully choreographed, with reverent and beautifully-vested Clergy. If women are sometimes allowed in the sanctuary, they ought not to be given privileges proper to the clergy; and they should be invited to attend to their hair and clothing, in honour of almighty God.
God wants each of us to realise that the Blessed Virgin Mary is not just an historical figure, or a person pictured in our Christmas cards, but is a living woman: a great Saint: the Mother of Jesus Christ. She reigns in Heaven with Him, and reaches out to help us by her powerful and loving intercessions.
This is what God sees from Heaven, as He looks upon two fertile continents. On one, thousands of women campaign, with the support of Government members, for the killing of an even greater number of babies in the womb, by abortion. On the other continent, most women love life and love their babies, despite the poverty in which some live.
Satan's great desire is to wreck God's plan for family life. Satan reaches out of the depths of Hell - out of the Abyss - to encourage family breakdown, to help spouses to desert one another, to cause children to be rebellious, and women to have abortions, and young adults to neglect their aging parents. He is also undermining the principles of people in Government, to induce them to pass anti-family laws.
A woman's body, instincts, heart and mind are designed to enable her to cherish life within herself, should she conceive. A woman who seeks an abortion is seeking an evil act that will harm her as well as her baby. To have an abortion is to act against her own body, even if she persuades herself otherwise. Her heartache will begin.
The Lord looks with joy upon women who wish to look after and guide their children, rather than pursue self-indulgent activities. It is true that some women have to go out to work, but when possible God is pleased to see women willing to be of service in the home, and not thinking that such service is demeaning.
Christ wants us to understand how deeply tragic is the issue of abortion. By this image, He is showing out what happens, as pregnant women see their doctors today. Some are so disappointed or angry about being pregnant that they arrange to have their own tiny infants deliberately destroyed in the womb. It's as if each baby carries a label, saying 'unwanted'.
